We are excited about your interest in Christ the King. Below are some frequently asked questions about our school, admissions, and students.
How many classes per grade?
We currently have one class per grade.
Are you accepting applications for the current school year?
Yes, please contact the Admissions Director for availability.
What qualifies as a Christ the King Parishioner?
Parishioners must be registered for 6 months prior to Tuition Commitment signing, including attending Mass and enrollment in Faith Direct.
How many students per class?
We have 1 class per grade. The maximum size per class varies by grade. Preschool has a max 15, PreK is 18, K-2 is 20, and 3rd-8th grades have a max of 25.
When should I apply?
We suggest you set up a tour in the fall a year prior to your child’s start. We start formal interviews for the following school year as early as December for classes where we are certain we have openings. The second round of enrollment occurs in March when we have confirmation of returning students.
What if I am affiliated with another parish?
We will provide you with an Out of Parish Affiliation Form for your pastor to sign. If approved we can honor in-parish tuition.
Do students attend Mass?
Yes, every Wednesday unless it is a Holy Day of Obligation. You are welcome to join us during Mass.
What are school hours?
7:55 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Morning drop-off is between 7:40 and 7:55 a.m. and pick up is between 2:45 and 3:00 p.m.
Do you offer support learning?
Our teachers are trained to differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs of students. We also employ support staff in grades 3-8 to provide direct support to students and teachers as needed. Additionally, we work with Denver Public Schools and private tutors for students that need extra help.
Do you offer hot lunch?
Yes, we have an on-site caterer, Culinary Masters, who offers hot lunch for the students.
Do you provide before and after care?
We provide after-school care only, until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee. Families sign up in advance.
What high schools do students attend?
Our students are successful wherever they go. We have students attending Bishop Machebeuf, Mullen, Regis Jesuit High School, St. Mary’s, Holy Family, and various DPS Schools
